After installing the modded driver, I restarted and installed the APO drivers. I didn't get any error messages but I also don't remember seeing any positive messages telling me if it installed successfully or not. the modded driver you're referring to, is it the "nvhda.inf" file? I'm not sure if I installed that correctly. Maybe I should have? Was I supposed to uninstall the Nvidia audio drivers first? Here's a few notes on what I did and the issues I encountered and a few questions: Maybe I'm garbage out of luck? or maybe I didnt follow your directions to the T.ĭoes Windows 10 recognizing your system as 5.1? I'm happy that The Dolby Home Theatre lets me control and create some nice virtualization effects, but I'm still trying get windows 10 to recognize my 5.1 system. I didnt follow your steps exactly but I was able to install the Dolby Home Theatre v4 and it works great, but my system is still just being recognized as a "stereo" system. Seems like 2 extra speakers that do nothing! Thanks for your help and I appreciate how you uploaded the files together in 1 convenient package. That Dolby app is specific for 5.1 audio - I looked on the Samsung website and do not understand how it can be a 7.1 system but only support Dolby Digital and DTS digital. If you want to do it this way (the way in the OP never worked for me at all) I've uploaded the modded audio driver, APO driver, and Dolby app here. Finally, go into sound control panel and set Dolby Digital in the advanced tab. Reboot then install the APO driver and set that up. Then disable driver signature enforcement to install modded audio driver only. Basically, I installed the full normal NVIDIA drivers. I recently reformatted my computer and managed to get my 5.1 working again super quickly. I'm sure the notification on the soundbar will say "eARC" when it's activated - it's allows higher res audio than the older ARC and apparently there's no audio delay.

Your TV and Soundbar are much newer than mine so they may have been updated to support eARC. The reason my PC is connected to my soundbar rather than my TV is because of the audio delay using ARC.
